".....When I pulled my daughter out of public school, it was not planned and I had NO idea what I was doing! I was scrambling to figure out what to do, when I met Kimber at a homeschool co-op. She has been my lifeline ever since. Kimber has so much knowledge from the younger years to teen years, with so many ideas, I never would have even thought of.
Kimber and her resources have made our lives so much easier! I remember feeling scared that I might ruin my kid, but Kimber always reassured me, and she has supported me to where I don’t have those feelings anymore. If you are thinking of homeschooling and struggling with the whats & the hows, or just looking for fresh new ideas, working with Kimber Joycee is a great place to start. Kimber is a fantastic mentor!"
"A little, about my backstory. My name is Kirsten, and I am a
homeschool mom of five children. We started our homeschool journey in
2019 when Washington State decided to shut down public schools. I knew
then honestly that my older children would likely not return to public
school and my younger children would never enter at all, so I needed to
figure out our next steps. Truthfully, my husband and I had been
contemplating homeschool for our children years prior, but I wasn’t
confident in myself to think I could continue or even further my
teenager’s education. This is when I met Kimber Joyce.
Kimber
is the mother of my son’s friend Jayden. I can’t recall exactly how we
came to be in contact however, I do know that I would have honestly been
lost in the start of this process without her. Kimber spent quite a bit
of time showing me the ropes. She came over with different types of
curriculums, ideas, and recourses. She showed me how to get my
certificate to homeschool, withdraw my kids from school, fill out my
letter of intent, etc. She shared many great books, and even her own
personal struggles and triumphs with me. Overall, she helped guide me to
succeed and strengthened my courage and commitment to this journey.
She
didn’t leave there either. Kimber has continued to help me stay
focused. She is quick to offer support and a listening ear. She has
answered question after question of mine and given me grace when I’ve
struggled to keep up, and encouragement to keep going on those days that
are extra tough. I wouldn’t just call her a homeschool coach or mentor.
While she is great at both, I now consider her a good friend as well.
Something more then I could have ever asked for.
If
you are considering the path of homeschool, which I highly recommend, I
would also encourage you to reach out to Kimber for guidance,
suggestions, and support. She is great at helping to start routines,
find resources that are affordable, and connecting you with other
homeschool families as well. She really is a wealth of knowledge on this
topic and so much more."
